Description

Anja Juurikkala was a Finnish sculptor. During her long life, she had two notable careers; first in the art department of Arabia from 1946 to 1960, and later as a sculptor. Juurikkala’s subjects were often animals. Her range of themes also included rural subjects such as cows, bulls, and calves, as well as portraits, more monumental human figures, and medals.
