Description

Kaija Aarikka was a Finnish designer and entrepreneur. In 1954, she founded Aarikka Oy together with her husband, Erkki Ruokonen, and served as the company’s artistic director.
The first product by Aarikka was a jacaranda wood button. The button was later followed by the wooden and silver jewelry, candleholders, toys, gifts, and home items that became characteristic of Aarikka.
The foundation of Aarikka’s design has always been Finland’s nature and forests. Each product is carefully handcrafted from selected natural materials. Every wooden home item and piece of jewelry made by Aarikka is dyed and assembled in Finland as a testament to the skill of experienced craftspeople.
Today, Aarikka is owned by the Finnish family company Martinex Oy.

There are 3 pieces of jewelry: 2 ‘Hilirimpsis’ necklaces and a ‘Rypäle’ brooch.
