Description
Seppo Tamminen (1944-2012) was a Finnish jewelry designer and visual artist. Tamminen was active in the Finnish art world from the mid-1960s onward. He first gained success as a jewelry maker, drawing inspiration from nature, particularly the forms of flowers and curving leaves. Later he worked as a visual artist, in whose works recurring elements included cityscapes and a certain Slavic melancholy.
This necklace from the 1960s-1970s is in beautiful condition.
Observations: Made in Finland. Patina and darkening of the brass. This peace has no hallmarks or they have worn away.
