Description
Timo Sarpaneva was an internationally renowned Finnish artist and professor. He rose to prominence as an acclaimed name in design already in the early 1950s. At the Milan Triennial in 1954, he was awarded the Grand Prix.
Sarpaneva’s Orkidea was selected by the American magazine House Beautiful as one of the most beautiful objects of the year.
Good condition for its age.
Observations: Little wear on the side and on the bottom, tiny crack at the bottom edge of the vase. Shown in the pictures.
