Description

Olof Ottelin was a Finnish interior architect and furniture designer active from the 1940s to the 1960s, a time when interior architecture was still taking shape in post-war Finland. Ottelin designed a wide range of interiors and furniture for both public venues and private homes. Wood was his primary and only material, which he used for his inventive and refined furniture pieces manufactured at the Keravan Puuseppätehdas. Ottelin devoted his career to working as the artistic director of Stockmann’s interior departments and as the chief designer of the Keravan Puuseppätehdas.

Keravan Puuseppätehdas Oy was a Finnish furniture manufacturer based in Kerava, founded in 1908. The company was a subsidiary of Stockmann from 1919 to 1985 and operated in Kerava until 1987.

The tables, each proportioned to fit seamlessly under the next, can be used together or separately, making them adaptable to various needs. Whether as occasional tables, sofa companions, or display surfaces, they embody both timeless modernist ideals and everyday usability.

Observations: There are signs of wear on the table surfaces, edges and legs. There is a dark ring mark on the medium-sized table, left by a vase or something similar.
