Yrjö Kukkapuro was a Finnish interior architect and designer. He is one of Finland’s most internationally renowned and awarded furniture designers, as well as one of the key modernists in Finnish furniture design. Kukkapuro’s design work was based on both aesthetic and functional innovation, user experience, and ergonomics.
Over his exceptionally long career of more than 60 years, Yrjö Kukkapuro created highly modern furniture for his time — pieces that have since proven to be modern classics.
