Description
Vesa Nilsson is a Finnish designer with extensive experience in product and jewelry design. He graduated from the Lahti Institute of Design in 1991, after which he worked as a silversmith at Georg Jensen in Copenhagen. In 1997, Nilsson co-founded the jewelry design company Oz Jewel with his spouse. He has been designing for Kalevala Koru since 2011. In addition, he has taught product design at Helsinki Design School.
The Made in Helsinki Eira jewelry designed by Vesa Nilsson celebrated Helsinki’s year as World Design Capital in 2012. The heart motif of the Eira jewelry is inspired by the wooden door of a building located on Laivurinkatu in Helsinki, which is decorated with carved hearts.
The jewelry are in beautiful condition.
Observations: Handmade in Finland. Only slight tarnishing of the silver.
