Description

Lisa Johansson-Pape was a Finnish designer and furniture architect. She is considered one of the most significant Finnish lighting designers of the latter half of the 20th century. At the beginning of her career, she worked as a furniture designer, and in 1937 she became a designer for Stockmann. In 1942, she was invited to design for Orno, the lighting factory owned by Stockmann. From then on, lighting and illumination became the central focus of her career. In addition to other exhibitions, her works were featured at the New York World’s Fair in 1939 and at the Milan Triennials in 1951 and 1954, where she received awards. Johansson-Pape was awarded the Pro Finlandia medal in 1957.

The table lamp is in good condition for its age.
