Description
Kirsti Doukas is a Finnish jewelry designer and goldsmith who served as the chief designer at Kalevala Koru from 1994 to 2010 and later as the company’s design director. She has gained knowledge of industrial processes during 30 years professional career. She owns Saarikorpi Design Ltd, design agency together with her husband.
The Sancta Birgitta jewelry collection was unveiled in 2003, the 700th anniversary year of Saint Birgitta’s birth. The vine-leaf ornaments of the jewelry are adapted from the decorations on the sarcophagus of Saint Henry. The bright red stone in the pendant is a garnet.
The jewelry are in beautiful condition.
Observations: Handmade in Finland. Only slight tarnishing of the silver.
