Description

Kerttu Suvanto-Vaajakallio was a Finnish ceramic artist who served as the artistic director of the ceramics department at Kupittaan Savi during the 1930s.

Kupittaan Savi was a Finnish brick and ceramics company founded in 1921 in Turku. In addition to bricks and tiles, the company’s product range included ceramic household and decorative items. The company went bankrupt in 1969.

The ceramic mask is in good condition for its age.
Observations: Engraved marking Made in Finland. Age-related wear of the glaze, small cracks/scratches on the mask, slight wear on the bottom.
