Description

Anja Jaatinen-Winquist was a Finnish designer and ceramic artist. She had a long career as a ceramic designer at Arabia.
Winquist studied design at the Institute of Industrial Arts, graduating in 1955. After graduation, she began working at Arabia in 1955 and remained with the company until 1974. In addition to decorative objects, Winquist also designed functional tableware. In 1974, she left Arabia to join Pentik, where she trained staff and helped develop the company’s operations. Towards the end of her career, she also worked as the lead designer at the Turku Tile Factory.
Anja Winquist was married to the ceramic artist and designer Peter Winquist. Together, they received the State Award for Industrial Arts in 1976.

These Iiris cups and saucers are in very good condition.
