Description

Raija Uosikkinen was a Finnish ceramic artist who had a long career as a tableware and pattern designer at the Arabia factory from 1947 until her retirement in 1986. Uosikkinen’s works were presented at the Milan Triennial in 1954 and 1960 as well as at the Brussels World’s Fair in 1958.

Master illustrator Raija Uosikkinen designed Emilia in 1957, and it remains relevant today both in its message and its visual expression. Each Emilia piece features a different decoration.

Very good condition for its age.
Observations: Production-related black dots inside the box, light scratch and two small cracks inside the lid, some wear on the bottom of the box. Shown in the picture.
