Description
Annikki Hovisaari was a Finnish ceramic artist. She worked at Arabia in the Industrial Arts Department from 1948 to 1962, and thereafter in the Art Department until 1974.
Her wall tiles are distinctive, recognized for their highly stylized and geometric animal and plant motifs. One of the most iconic themes in her wall tiles is the peacock, as in this piece.
Very good condition for its age.
