Description
Kaj Franck is one of the most internationally renowned Finnish ceramic and glass designers. Franck designed for Arabia, Artek, Iittala and Nuutajärvi. He served as the artistic director of the Nuutajärvi glassworks from 1950 to 1973.
During his career, Franck won many design competitions and recognitions, including at the Milan Triennial in 1951 and 1954, the Grand Prix of the Milan Triennial in 1957, the Compasso d’Oro award, the Prince Eugen Medal, and the Lunning Prize. He received the Pro Finlandia medal in 1957.
Rare find! Good condition for its age.
Observations: Production-related extra glass chip inside vase, few air bubbles in the glass mass, little scratching inside the collar and maybe production-related scratch outside the collar of the vase, wear on the bottom. Shown in the pictures.
