Description
Per Stenius (1922-2014) was a Finnish painter, art theorist, and poet. He is particularly known and esteemed as a Cubist landscape painter. Stenius’s style is distinctive, and his work is recognizable from afar. From an early stage, he remained unusually loyal to the color palette he had discovered, which included numerous shades of blue, gray, and pink. Likewise, the style of his works consisted of sections sliced by lines or by areas of color.
Stenius was an extremely prolific artist. In addition to oil paintings, his output included many lighter techniques, such as printmaking, ink and wood drawings, and watercolor works.
The painting is in good condition.
