Tapio Wirkkala was a Finnish designer, sculptor and master of glass design. He created numerous objects that have become classics and received many awards for his work throughout his career. Wirkkala was a versatile artist who worked with materials such as glass, wood, porcelain, metal and plastic. In addition to art glass, he designed a wide range of everyday objects and tableware.
The Tiima champagne glass was designed for the Milan Triennale in 1957.
Glasses are in good condition for their age.
Observations: The glasses are intact, but slight age-related wear occurs on the body. There are tiny air bubbles in the glass mass. One glass has an air bubble right at the top edge of the glass, and it is not a crack. Please, ask for more pictures by email if needed kirsi(at)keravanloyto.com.
